Fillers are an excellent treatment to restore volume and plumpness to lips, chin, cheeks, the jawline, the area under the eyes, and even the nose.* In some cases, fillers can be used to improve the appearance of scars.*
Dermal fillers are fast and easy. They are administered via tiny injections and the results are visible instantly. Filler injections are quick and simple, and provide instant results with a minimal amount of discomfort and downtime.*
How does treatment with Dermal Filler work?
Dermal fillers are gels that consist of a substance that mimics what is naturally found under the skin.
After a consultation with your dermatologist during which your goals and expectations will be thoroughly discussed, your dermatologist will lay out your treatment plan. Your procedure will then begin. A numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area and you will wait about 30 minutes for it to take effect.
A tiny needle will be used to inject the filler into the targeted areas. Your dermatologist may apply ice at the same time to minimize bruising. Between treatment areas or sides of your face, your dermatologist may give you the opportunity to examine your face in the mirror. Your input can be used to guide the procedure as it progresses.

Types of Dermal Fillers We Offer
RHA Collection of Fillers
RHA Collection is the only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler for dynamic wrinkles and folds.

Unlike other fillers, the RHA fillers are modified the least, allowing for the preservation of the natural entanglements of hyaluronic acid. This means the hyaluronic acid gel in RHA fillers most closely resembles your body’s own natural Hyaluronic Acid.
Juvéderm

Your provider can tell you which Juvéderm treatment formulation is right for you. There are two options:

- Juvéderm Ultra Plus, a robust formulation for volumizing and correcting deeper wrinkles and folds.

Voluma XC
Juvéderm Voluma XC is among the latest FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers that has been specifically designed to achieve a long-lasting volumizing effect in the face area, particularly useful for cheek augmentation.* Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in our skin and its capability to absorb and retain water molecules is an important contributor to natural firmness and youthfulness of the skin. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in our skins diminishes and manifests itself as lost volume.
Juvéderm Voluma XC acts effectively to restore facial volume and treat and adjust the facial features such as cheeks and cheekbones that become hollow or appear dropped as a result of aging or rapid changes in weight. Belotero Balance
Belotero Balance dermal filler is an injectable filler that quickly integrates into your skin. Once injected, it instantly smoothes the lines and wrinkles in your face.*
Belotero Balance is made from the same material, hyaluronic acid, as other dermal fillers. It is unique in the way the properties of the of the fillers adapt to the skin for soft and even correction.*
Belotero Balance works immediately upon injection. * When an area is fully treated, the dermal filler plumps the skin and smoothes away lines and wrinkles.* Since this treatment works instantly many of our patients use Belotero Balance to aid with common trouble spots.

Radiesse
Radiesse and Radiesse (+) are FDA-approved dermal fillers that are used to treat signs of aging, and smoothing moderate to severe facial fine lines, wrinkles, and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth).* Radiesse injections stimulate your body’s natural collagen, filling facial wrinkles and folds.* It can be used for wrinkles near the mouth, but should not be used for lip augmentation. Radiesse is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands.* A numbing cream is used to prevent the treatment from being unnecessarily uncomfortable.
What Happens After Your Procedure?
Immediately following your treatment you can return to your normal daily activities.* There is no downtime associated with this non-surgical procedure.
How Long Do the Results of Dermal Filler Treatment Last?
Our treatment uses non-permanent dermal fillers. This means that together, we can fine-tune or completely change your results. The results of your Dermal Fillers treatment at Greenbrae Dermatology can last from six months to two years, depending on the type of filler used in your case.*
