Botox and Xeomin
Botox and Xeomin are each purified proteins that relax muscles by interfering with nerve impulses that cause muscles to contract. Once the muscles are relaxed, the overlying skin relaxes too, which leads to softening of fine lines and wrinkles.* As a group, Botox and Xeomin treatments are the most common non-surgical cosmetic procedure and are consistently ranked high in terms of patient satisfaction.
DysportDysport is a prescription injectable that is used to temporarily treat mild to moderate wrinkles of the face by weakening the muscles of expression.* Dysport is a newer formulation of traditional Botox Cosmetic (abobotulinumtoxinA) that ceases the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine to the muscles of facial expression. This in turn causes the muscles to relax, stopping muscle contraction.* You will then experience a decrease in muscle movement which helps to soften fine lines and wrinkles. The most common areas treated with Dysport injections are the frown lines between the eyes, the crow’s feet, and the horizontal lines of the forehead, as these are all caused by frequent muscle contraction. With continued use of this wrinkle relaxer, these lines should gradually fade, and a smoother facial surface should result.*
