Dr. Francis Hsiao is a board-certified dermatologist with advanced fellowship training in Mohs micrographic, reconstructive, cosmetic and laser surgery. He has been invited to lecture in multiple national and international meetings. He makes patient care his top priority.

Dr. Hsiao grew up in the Bay area. He pursued his bachelor and graduate degrees at Ivy-league institutions, Cornell University and Harvard University, where he was supported by the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute and National Science Foundation. He was fortunate to be mentored by several giants in academics, including two Nobel Prize laureates. Dr. Hsiao was among a handful of medical students to be sponsored by the highly competitive NIH Medical Scientist Training Program to pursue a combined MD-PhD degree. At Tufts University, Dr. Hsiao fell in love with dermatology as a medical student and has been an advocate for it since. He was trained as a dermatologist at University of California’s Davis Medical Center and was subsequently selected to complete a highly rigorous Mohs micrographic, cosmetic, and laser surgical fellowship at Boston University. Prior to joining Greenbrae Dermatology, Dr. Hsiao was on faculty in Rhode Island, and served as an Associate Program Director for a Procedural Dermatology and Mohs Surgery fellowship. As a widely published author, doctor, and caregiver, Dr. Hsiao places a premium on top-quality patient care.

When not in the clinic, Dr. Hsiao enjoys tennis, running, fitness training, cooking, arts, music, theatre, live performances, and spending time with his friends and family in the Bay Area.
